This one deserves a story: Once upon a time Mark and I were serving as hosts at the Creche Sat night. Caia stayed home and babysat her sisters. When we got home not only were the little girls in bed, the kitchen clean with the dishwasher running with 8 dishes in it, AND the lights on the Christmas tree hung. We have had the tree up since Thanksgiving but I couldn't find the lights. Every couple of days I'd get tired of looking at the bare tree and march down stairs and look for the lights, having no success I'd give up. On the way home from the Creche I told Mark I wanted to run to Walmart to buy more..then decided to just head home. I'm glad I didn't buy them. She did such a great job with what we had. It's the best tree ever and we all are living happily ever after!
First up a dog wedding dress for Bastet, followed by Cooper. Our friends came to town for graduation and brought their dog for the girls. It was fun having them and what a good dog!
("Then that Grinch, he thought up lie, and he thought it up quick"...)
C/Santy Clause Grinch: "I'm taking it to spend THERE then I'll bring the bill back here!"
("then he gave her a drink and sent her to bed".)
How on earth did a 10 year old and 7 year old ever come up this one? Although I'm sure this would make a great public service announcement regarding staying out of debt for Christmas! Apparently my kids get the idea of credit cards quite well. Score one for Mom!!
That cute little elephant is Payton's new best friend. She was a gift from Jolyn.
A little afternoon TV.
No better QT than on the comfy bed.
Payton 6 years Old
This was her outfit for Sunday. I was so proud of her. She reminds me of my niece Allex!
The Monson's are greatful for....
Mark: For Ping G10s, a golf cart, and his full season pass. (There is a lot of estrogen at home, he has to compensate on the course). In addition his 4 Girls and the opportunity to serve as Bishop of our ward.
Holly: To be a stay at home mom just like my mom. My dad, who always provided for us. A sister who is understanding and always my hero, and brothers. A husband that makes me laugh and provides so well for us that I can stay home. 3 daughters to stay home for, and do all the fun girly stuff with. I LOVE IT! That because my husband is Bishop I get to associate with the Young Men and Young Women in our ward, and to have the Elders around for dinner and visits. For the gospel, the peace it gives me when things around in our world are so unsure and ever changing.
Caia: "For dogs, my friends Addi and Emma, my Mom and Dad, for Christmas. "
Payton: "A dad who takes me to the candy store, a mom that let's me have a snake. Pop Polly Pockets. For my house, and my hands, because I can help my mom. For my family, and friends, it would be boring without them. Jolyn that I can do her hair, my bed, and school because no one would know what 1 +1 is."
Elyse: For a dad, to go anywhere, "cars" to play with, "Heavenly Father and Jesus" and "Scripture Power"
